If you’re seeking an alternative to Supermetrics, Dataslayer is the tool worth exploring. Dataslayer provides agencies of any size with significant savings compared to Supermetrics plans.

Let’s take the pricing of Dataslayer for Looker Studio as an example and compare it to the similar pricing plans by Supermetrics as published on their website and currently visible (July 30th, 2024).

Freelance Plan: Supermetrics ‘ smallest plan that includes Looker Studio is the Essential plan. In this plan Supermetrics offers 1 destination (it can be Looker Studio), 3 connectors (these can only be Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics 4), 1 user, and 3 accounts for 29€ per month, billed annually. But imagine, if you also need Linkedin Ads, Instagram or TikTok data, you will have to pay an additional 19€ per each data source. 

Meanwhile, Dataslayer’s Freelance plan offers unlimited connectors, users, and 5 accounts per data source for 25€ per month, billed annually. In case you need up to 5 accounts per data source and 1 additional connector (different from the already included), your monthly pay with Supermetrics will increase to 68€, which means saving 468€ per year in case you do the same with DataSlayer. 

Dataslayer’s Freelance plan (€25/month) is far cheaper than Supermetrics (€29+), saving up to €468 annually.


Pricing for Small Agencies

We define a small agency as a team having 2-3 heavy users and for this license, DataSlayer provides 125 daily API calls per day. It is 49€ per month, billed annually, for unlimited users, data sources, and 50 accounts, whereas Supermetrics’ equivalent core plan is 159€ per month, billed annually, for 3 users, 26 data sources, and only 8 accounts per data source. 

The savings are evident, for example, if you have more than 8 accounts per data source, Supermetrics would charge €10 additionally per each account. So, let’s say you have 15 accounts per data source, DataSlayer would charge only 49€ per month. But with Supermetrics it will be 229€ (this includes additional charges for 7 more accounts). In this scenario with DataSlayer you will have a saving of 2,160 € per year. 

Dataslayer’s small agency plan (€49/month) is far cheaper than Supermetrics (€159+), saving up to €2,160 annually.

Pricing for Medium Agencies

In DataSlayer, we created Medium Agency plan to meet the needs of companies having 4-10 heavy users and it includes 1250 daily API calls per day for this license. This plan is 82€ per month, billed annually, for unlimited users, data sources, and 100 accounts (compared to just 8 in Supermetrics Core plan). 

To fulfill the needs of a medium agency with Supermetrics it’s possible to use their Core plan. But in this case you may need to pay for additional users (99€ per each) and for accounts (10€ additionally per each account). The savings are clear: for instance, with 5 users, 20 ad accounts and 30 connectors Supermetrics would charge 553€ (159€ + 2 users * 99€ + 12 accounts * 10€ + 4 connectors * 19€) per month and with DataSlayer it would be just 82€ per month. That’s a yearly saving of 5,652 €. 

If your company needs more than 5 users, with Supermetrics you will need to switch to Enterprise plan that starts from 899 per month while with DataSlayer you can stay with Medium Agency plan (82€ per month) as long as 1250 daily API calls per day are enough for your needs.  

Also, mind that in DataSlayer, hourly or on-demand refreshes are included in the Medium Agency license while in Supermetrics plans they are included only in the Enterprise plan.

Pricing for Large Agencies

A large agency is defined as having 10-50 heavy users and DataSlayer provides 4,000 API calls per day for this license with unlimited users, data sources, and accounts.  The plan is 245€ per month, billed annually, whereas Supermetrics’ similar Enterprise plan starts from 899€ per month, billed annually, for three users and 27 data sources with 10 accounts each that can be customized.  

So, if you have 15 users, with Supermetrics you would need to pay 899€ and additionally for each user over the three 99€ which would be 25,044€ per year (if you purchase additional accounts it would be even more!), while with DataSlayer it would be only 2,940€ per year.  That’s a yearly saving of over 22,104€ in case that you use one destination (Looker Studio). 

Indeed, in the Enterprise plan Supermetrics offers 2 destinations for this pricing so you can use, for example, Looker Studio and Google Sheets. But in case you add DataSlayer Large Agency pricing for Looker Studio and Google Sheets, it will be €6, 539 yearly all together that is apparently less than 25,044€ per year as charged by Supermetrics in the Enterprise plan.

Dataslayer’s Large Agency plan (€245/month) saves over €22,104 annually compared to Supermetrics (€899+), offering unlimited users and accounts for less, even with multiple destinations.
