Dataslayer's daily API calls reboot at 00:00 UTC time. Please check the current UTC time here to see at what time your daily API calls are going to reboot in your time zone.

In order to connect to your Database in, you must accept connections from the IP address for the connection to work.

If the add-on does not work correctly, for example the resfresh or the modify queries functions do not load the metrics or dimensions selected, it might be caused by one of these reasons:

  • Changes in the subscription plan, like upgrading your current plan.
  • Changes or updates that we may have made to the add-on.

To solve this, you only have to reload the Google Sheets' page or reload the add-on, by closing it and then opening it again.

However, if you continue having issues with the add-on you can contact us by our live chat or by email.

Does the message "Internal Datasource error: Maximun quota exceeded" appear while you were using

maximun quota exceeded

This error comes from the data source, it is not a Dataslayer error. This error usually appear with Google Analytics, Google Search Console and YouTube data sources.

If you have been using your data source account to get a lot of data from another platform ( like Data Studio or the proper data source) it may have reached the data source quota limit. That is what this error is saying. Most of the times, you just need to wait a little, try again and it should let you make the query. charges on API calls per day. If you refresh your query needs to make an API call. For example, a spreadsheet that is set up refresh daily and report on Adwords, Google Analytics and Facebook data will make 3 API calls per day.

So yes, when you refresh your data it counts as an API call. If you don't know how Dataslayer works with our plans and the API calls, learn more here.

Now you can refresh queries from another user in If you have a shared Google Sheet document, when you make a query with any data source, the other users can refresh or modify it as those users have an active session in the same data source.

Does this error about the limit of the cells appear in

number of cells

By default Google Sheets have a limit of 5000000 cells, so it's not a limit. If you don't know how to increase the number of rows, click here to learn more.

Yes, when you choose the Google Ads datasource and the campaigns metric in Dataslayer, the data from the campaign experiments implemented in Google Ads Experiment will also be loaded.

By default queries only show 100 rows but you can change the number of rows visible on the option “# of rows to fetch” under the Rows and Columns boxes. You can see how in this short video below:

Because Dataslayer is an add-on of Google Sheets, it has all the functionalities and advantages the Google platform has. Therefore, once you have your data in your Google sheets spreadsheet, you can easily make pivot tables. IF you don’t know how you can make pivot tables in Google Sheets, this guide will help you:

Yes, since Dataslayer works on Google Sheets you can create and calculate any metric you want.

The number of queries available per day depend on the pricing plan you’ve got. It goes from 10 API calls per day with our FREE plan, up to 1000 API calls per day with our Large plan. To know how many API calls have you performed so far you just need to look at the bottom of our add-on where the number of queries per day will appear.

If you don't know how the API calls work, click here to learn about it.

The following video will show you how to maintain the cell's format you have chosen for your reports after a manual or scheduled refresh.

Three examples are shown:

  • Activate this option when you create a new query.
  • Activate it in one pre-existing query.
  • And activating it in all your pre-existing queries at once.

No, the refreshes run on our servers so you don’t need to have your computer on in order for them to work.

You can choose to refresh all the document or a specific tab but you can't choose only one query if it is with other queries in the same tab.

The time zone of each date is set in relation to the time zone of the Google Sheets, so to check what time zone is Dataslayer using, go to "settings" in the spread sheet, as you can see in the GIF above.

The timezone of each date is set in relation to the timezone of the Google Sheets. Therefore, if the words “yesterday” or “tomorrow” are written in the date range, it is going to be in accordance with the timezone in which each user is.With the following datasources, we cannot interact with the timezone they use to return data:

– AdwordsAnalytics and Facebook use the timezone specified in the account from which data is collected.

– DCM: Default timezone is “America/LosAngeles” and cannot be changed.

– Searchconsole: Default timezone is “UTC – 7:00/8:00” and cannot be changed.

For these 3 datasources we have to send them in each call the timezone setting in each spreadsheet:

– Bing: by default it uses the timezone “PacificTimeUSCanadaTijuana”, but can be changed in the call

– DV360: Uses the “America/NewYork” timezone by default, but can be changed in the call

– Criteo: Default timezone is “GMT”, but can be changed in the call

Please, tell us with what datasource you are working, through the Dataslayer chat buttom enable on the ritgh low corner of the add-on.

There are two ways to report an issue with one of your queries. In both of them you must do it in the add-on. Let's see:

1. Click the refresh tab at the top and then click the option “Report an issue with a query”. A new window opens where you can explain the problem you are having with your query, as you can see in the video above.

You have to make sure that your query parameters are loaded in the add-on (metrics and dimensions in rows and colums), because if not, we can't see the query parameters and we can't find the issue.

To charge the parameters in a query already done, you only have to click on its data and then on "duplicate" (see the video). Now you can report your issue in the refresh button.

2. This way is easier, you only have to click on one cell in the query to bring up the menu in the add-on. Then click on “Report this query”. A new window opens where you can explain the problem you are having with your query.

report query

By clicking in the query a menu appears so you can click the "modify" option and make the changes you like. Then click on "confirm changes" and the query is going to be modified, as you can see in the GIF above.

It is probably an issue with the timezones, if you have checked the timezone and it is correct, please click on “report issue”, in the add-on so we can receive your queries info and see what the problem is.

Yes, Dataslayer doesn’t limit the sharing of the same login. Our plans are limited by the number of queries and not by the number of people who are using an account.

This error is totally unrelated to Dataslayer. When this happens to you please, logout from all Google accounts and try using Google Sheets logged in with just one account.

The Google Sheets' account must be the same as the default Chrome account. So due to this Google error, the best practise of our tool is to log out of all the accounts, and use Dataslayer with only one account.
